The Day Chipotle Goes Dark: Chipotle is set to close all its stores nationwide on February 8—but only for a few hours—for a company-wide meeting about food safety. Earlier this week, Chipotle company leaders said they were launching a new marketing plan to bring customers back to their stores after food outbreaks in several states sickened customers. "We need to do better, much better," Chipotle founder and co-CEO Steve Ells said in an open letter. To reiterate: The restaurants will only be closed for a few hours, so make sure to plan ahead. Just When You Thought It Was Safe: Paramount suddenly dropped a trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane, a sequel to the 2008 monster movie directed by J.J. Abrams, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman. The sequel was reportedly filmed secretly during the production of The Force Awakens, and—if the trailer's any indication—features the single best line in any horror movie: "Don't open the door!" (On second viewing, it could also be a teaser for Lost: The Movie. Or The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, if Ellie Kemper is more your speed.)
Max Is Back: George Miller emphasized that he will be making more Mad Max movies, clearing up what he said was a "garbled" interview with The Wrap, which initially reported otherwise. "It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories," Miller said about the franchise, which picked up 10 Oscar nominations Thursday morning.
