But the Golden Arches wants it their way, with CEO Steve Easterbrook saying they should "join in a meaningful global effort." What (In) Your Beef?: Conventional (a.k.a. "non-organic") ground beef is twice as likely to contain drug-resistant bacteria than "sustainably raised" beef—some of which can't be removed by cooking it out—according to a new story from Consumer Reports. But the National Cattlemen's Beef Association insists that standard beef is just as safe as the stuff labeled "organic" or "sustainably raised," as long as it's cooked correctly.
