Fit Fix: Julian Edelman Mangles Pinkie, Catches Touchdown Pass Anyway

Bad Finger

Julian Edelman shows teammates his finger injury sustained against the Colts.

Morning, dudes. Here's the latest in cool stuff to start your week on this Monday, October 19, 2015.

Give 'Em the Finger: Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman mangled his pinkie during catch against the Colts Sunday night—and scored a touchdown anyway. (Although it didn't exactly help him out later in the game, when it looked like it led to a pick-6 for Tom Brady.) [CBS Sports]

Bengals in the Buff: The NFL Network did a nice job interviewing Cincinnati Bengals player Adam Jones, except for the part where a bunch of naked football players walked through the camera shot. [Yahoo! TV]

Wait, So They're NOT the Same Guy?: Larry David—the co-creator of Seinfeld and star of Curb Your Enthusiasm—made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, portraying Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in the show's cold open sketch. (Best line: "I own one pair of underwear!")

Let's Not Try That Again: The Indianapolis Colts dialed up a bizarre "swinging gate formation" trick play on 4th and 3 against the New England Patriots Sunday night. It failed miserably. [NFL]

"I Went Through Hell": After Michigan punter Blake O'Neill fumbled away a snap (and the game) against hated rival Michigan State, a former Boise State punter who suffered the same fate five years ago said he should prepare for a "dark, dark, low place." [CBS Sports]

Can't Argue With a Quote: Incensed by Ben Carson's misquoting of Thomas Jefferson, the ever-nutty John Oliver and his Last Week Tonight staff created DefinitelyRealQuotes.com, a (definitely fake) automatic quote generator that is guaranteed to be the bane of some poor eighth-grader who just needs a good way to start his history paper.

"This Is My Hair": In case you missed it, Bruce Willis donned Jimmy Fallon's designated Donald Trump wig during his visit to "The Tonight Show" Friday night. "It suddenly just seemed to grow exponentially," Willis said. "A lot of times I'll start with hair, and then I'll have to shave it down."

The Force Is Pretty Much Awake: The new (and presumably final) trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuts at halftime of tonight's Giants-Eagles game on ESPN. Here's the poster:

The dark side and the light together on the new official poster. Tune in to ESPN’s Monday Night Football tomorrow for an exclusive new look at STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. #TheForceAwakens
