After 62 years of printing provocative photos of bombshells, Playboy is closing a chapter—and covering up.
Come March 2016, Playboy magazine will no longer publish photos of naked women, part of a comprehensive "brand evolution" and redesign of the brand, according to a press release.
Why the change of heart? “The political and sexual climate of 1953, the year Hugh Hefner introduced Playboy to the world, bears almost no resemblance to today,” Playboy Enterprises CEO Scott Flanders said in the press release. "We are more free to express ourselves politically, sexually and culturally today, and that's in large part thanks to Hef's heroic mission to expand those freedoms. We will stay true to those core values with this new vision of Playboy's future. Once our readers see all of the innovative changes we're making to the magazine, we're confident they will love the end product when it debuts next year."
It's probably not just Hef, of course—the Internet made sure of that. But the magazine will still feature women in racy poses (including its iconic Playmates), alongside a larger emphasis on long-form journalism, interviews, and fiction.

You can see the transformation for yourself come spring and decide if the iconic magazine really is new and improved. Until then, of course, there are plenty of photos of gorgeous women on MensFitness.com. All safe for work. As always.
