Tony Horton, trainer of world-class athletes and millions of everyday fitness enthusiasts (you probably know him as the superfit P90X guy), has a new way to help the masses get into shape.
Horton has teamed up with Skulpt, maker of the Aim fitness tracker, to help people "take fitness into their own hands" with the innovative device, the company announced Tuesday.
"Tony Horton embodies what the Skulpt Aim is all about,” Juan Jaramillo, the vice president of product at Skulpt, said in a press release. "He is a role model of health and motivation in the fitness space and we are looking forward to having him help spread our message of redefining fitness beyond weight to include muscle quality."
The Skulpt Aim stands out from the crowded (and ever-growing) field of fitness trackers by measuring not only body fat percentage but also the quality of individual muscles. Combine it with the accompanying Skulpt app, and you can track your progress, identify problem areas and weaker areas, and adjust your workouts accordingly.

"If you’re trying to get fit and stay motivated, there’s no better tool to get you there, as the Aim gives you results muscle by muscle so you know how your body is changing," Horton said in a press release. "As you start to lose fat and build muscle, the Skulpt Aim will let you track your progress and tell you which muscles are affected and which areas you need to improve unlike anything else on the market."
Horton heralded the announcement with a video featuring the Aim's technology.
And for the budget-conscious, there's more good news: The Aim, which ordinarily lists for $199, is now available for $149.
